Mardomak Minor Ophthalmic Surgery Suite
Today, intravitreal injections of certain medications—particularly anti-VEGF medications such as bevacizumab and aflibercept—play a critical role in treating various eye conditions and preventing severe vision loss. These conditions include diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, or AMD, which cause vision loss in many people in Iran each year.
A range of outpatient eyelid procedures is also performed in this suite, including the removal and repair of superficial eyelid lesions, the treatment of persistent styes, and cosmetic eyelid surgery, including upper and lower blepharoplasty. Every stage of these procedures and injections is carried out in a calm environment, with particular care and attention given to the sterilization of equipment and instrument sets, effective pain control, and health-related care before and after the procedure. Our goal is to provide our valued patients with a satisfying experience accompanied by favorable treatment outcomes.
Registration and Scheduling
Once your ophthalmologist has approved the procedure, your eyelid surgery or intravitreal injection will be scheduled. The required information will be recorded, and the initial arrangements will be completed through the registration system.
Preparation Before Entering the Operating Room
Before the procedure, our clinical team will complete the necessary preparations for your admission to the operating room. Your general health will be assessed, and any necessary medication or preparatory eye drops will be administered.
The Procedure in a Sterile Environment
Your eyelid procedure or intravitreal injection will be performed by a specialized team in a fully equipped operating room. Every step is carried out in accordance with established safety and infection-control standards. At the end of the procedure, your eye may be covered with a dressing if your ophthalmologist considers it necessary.
Postoperative Care and Follow-Up
After the procedure, you will receive instructions regarding at-home care, medication use, and the timing of your next follow-up visit. You may then visit the reception desk on the ground floor to schedule your next appointment and continue your treatment.
