Optometry
Mardomak Optometry Center
The Optometry Department at Mardomak Advanced Eye Clinic combines advanced equipment and precise eye testing with the expertise of experienced, highly trained optometrists and a young, motivated staff. The department offers a wide range of diagnostic and vision care services designed to support better vision and eye health. Services provided by this department include the accurate identification and measurement of refractive errors—including myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism—as well as the precise assessment and documentation of distance and near visual acuity. These findings are used to prescribe appropriate eyeglasses, including reading glasses, distance glasses, progressive lenses, and prescription sunglasses, or suitable contact lenses.
Comprehensive Eye Examination
Advanced Equipment
Our experienced optometrists are here to care for your vision using advanced equipment and precise eye tests.

In this department, refractive error measurement (autorefractometry), corneal curvature measurement (keratometry), corneal thickness measurement (pachymetry), and intraocular pressure measurement (non-contact tonometry) are all performed simultaneously and with a high level of precision using the advanced NIDEK TONOREF III, manufactured in Japan. The results are recorded in each patient’s electronic health record so that the diagnostic and treatment process for our valued patients can begin in the best possible way.

Proceeding to the Optometry Department
After completing the check-in process on the ground floor of the clinic, you will be directed to the Optometry Department on Level 1. At this stage, staff will record your preliminary information, and you will be ready for your vision tests.

Vision Testing
Our optometrists and trained staff use advanced, modern equipment to carefully measure your refractive error—commonly referred to as your eyeglass prescription—and intraocular pressure. They will also carefully assess your distance and near visual acuity.

Recording and Documenting Your Results
Once the required assessments have been completed, the test findings will be explained to you and entered into your electronic health record. If needed, an appropriate prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses will also be issued.

Practical Guidance and Next Steps in Your Care
Finally, you will receive instructions on the proper use of your eyeglasses or contact lenses. You will then be ready to proceed to the specialty and subspecialty eye clinics for your ophthalmic examinations.
